Hey,
The first question would probably be: Who am I, and why am I starting this blog?
Well, this is my personal website and personal blog, and I have a story to share. I have experiences, lessons, struggles, and discoveries that may be valuable, impactful, or meaningful to other people. That is the main reason I am starting this blog.
Who Am I?
My name is Khagen. I was born in Doti District, Nepal, and I currently work in the software industry. I have been involved in this industry for more than four years now.
I come from a Christian background and have known about Christianity since childhood. However, my faith journey has grown much deeper over the past few years as I have come to know Christ personally. Today, my relationship with God is much more real and personal than it was before, and that journey is something I hope to share here as well.
I am also studying for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science through the University of London. I started a year ago and have recently completed my first year. For someone coming from my background, this opportunity is something I never imagined growing up.
A Journey from Nothing
One reason I want to write is because my life journey may encourage someone else.
I grew up in a family that struggled financially. My father was completely broke. We had almost nothing: no land, no house, nothing of our own.
From Doti, I moved to Banke, and eventually to Kathmandu. Looking back, it feels like a long journey filled with challenges, uncertainties, and many lessons along the way.
Today, I am working with international organizations, building software products, studying computer science, serving in church ministry, and pursuing dreams that once felt impossible.
There is a story behind every step of that journey, and I want to document those stories here.
What Will I Write About?
This blog will not focus on only one topic.
I am interested in many different areas, and all of them are part of who I am.
Some of the things I plan to write about include:
- My personal life journey and reflections
- Faith, theology, and spiritual growth
- Software engineering and computer science
- AI, machine learning, networking, and technology
- University life and my learning experience with the University of London
- Career growth and lessons from the workplace
- Fitness and health
- Leadership and community building
- Sports ministry and youth ministry
- Street ministry and serving others
- Personal goals, plans, and future visions
Sometimes a post may be a life lesson. Sometimes it may be a reflection. Other times it may be a technical article, a book takeaway, a ministry update, or simply something I have been thinking about.
My Career Journey
Professionally, I have spent the last few years working in software (web) development.
I started my career at a large multinational digital agency and later moved into enterprise software development. Today, I have the opportunity to work alongside talented engineers and professionals who have spent decades in the industry.
Being in that environment has taught me so much. I get to learn from experienced people, contribute my own ideas, and continue growing every day.
I would love to share what I learn, how I got here, and the lessons I wish someone had told me earlier.
Maybe some of those experiences will help others who are trying to build a career in technology.
My Faith Journey
My faith journey is probably one of the most important parts of my story.
Although I knew about Christianity from childhood, in recent years I have come to know Christ much more personally.
I have been growing in my understanding of theology, Scripture, and spiritual disciplines. More importantly, I have been growing in my relationship with Jesus.
I don’t claim to have everything figured out. I am still learning, still growing, and still being shaped by God every day.
This blog will be one place where I share that journey honestly.
Ministry, Community, and Leadership
I have also been involved in different ministry activities, including serving among children and participating in church ministries.
Recently, I helped start a sports ministry in our church community. We are building a place where young people can connect, grow, and encourage one another.
I am learning leadership as I go. I make mistakes, learn lessons, and continue improving. I hope sharing those experiences may encourage others who are also trying to serve their communities.
Why This Blog Matters to Me
This blog is not just about software.
It is not just about faith.
It is not just about sports, education, leadership, or my past.
It is about all of those things together.
It is about documenting a life journey as it unfolds.
Writing here will help me stay accountable, reflect on what I am learning, and hopefully create something useful for others.
I believe that every person has a story, and this blog is simply my way of sharing mine, one chapter at a time.
What’s Next?
For now, this blog will be very simple.
Just writing.
Just sharing.
Maybe in the future I will add a newsletter, notifications, or a contact form. I’m not completely sure yet.
Right now, I simply want to start.
I have many topics in my mind already. The challenge is not finding something to write about. It is deciding what to write first.
As a believer, I want to write prayerfully and thoughtfully, sharing what I feel led to share at the right time.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
If anything I write resonates with you, encourages you, challenges you, or helps you in some way, I would be grateful.
And if you have advice, suggestions, feedback, or simply want to connect, please feel free to reach out whenever possible. I would love to hear from you.
There are beautiful parts of my story, difficult parts, inspiring moments, and painful lessons. Over time, I hope to share them all honestly.
This is just the beginning.
Thank you again for being here.
Have a good day, or a good night.
See you in the next chapter.
